Dental implantation in Grodno is a method of restoring lost teeth, in which an implant (artificial root) is installed in the jaw bone tissue, and an artificial crown, bridge or conditionally removable prosthesis is fixed on it. The result is a new, completely complete “unit”, indistinguishable from natural teeth.
How is implantation performed? Classic two-step protocol
We use proven and secure protocols. The most common - classic two-stage implantation - takes place in several stages:
1. Diagnosis and planning: consultation with an implant surgeon and orthopedic surgeon with computed tomography (CBCT) to 3D assess bone volume and quality, creating a digital treatment plan, sometimes using surgical guides for accuracy.
2. Surgical stage: under local anesthesia (painless), the implant is installed into the bone. If it is necessary to simultaneously replenish the bone volume, bone grafting (sinus lift) is performed. Next is suturing. The procedure takes 30-60 minutes per implant.
3. Period of osseointegration (engraftment): the implant fuses with the bone (on the lower jaw 2-4 months, on the upper jaw - 4-6 months). During this period, a temporary aesthetic prosthesis can be installed.
4. Installation of a gum former: a small mini-surgery to create an ideal gum contour around the future crown.
5. Orthopedic stage: taking impressions and making a permanent crown (zirconium, metal-ceramic or zirconium dioxide-based). Fixing the finished crown onto the implant.
At the VOKA clinic in Grodno we use modern implant systems
We work only with proven global premium and business class brands that have a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer and many years of clinical research (for example, Straumann (Switzerland), Nobel Biocare (Switzerland/USA), Astra Tech (Sweden), Ankylos (Germany)). The choice of system depends on the clinical case, and the doctor will explain his recommendations in detail.
The cost is calculated individually and depends on:
· Quantity and brand of implants.
· The need for bone grafting.
· Selecting the type of crown (metal-ceramics, zirconium).
· Complexities of the clinical case.
Answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ)
❯ Does it hurt? No. The procedure takes place under effective local anesthesia. After the operation, manageable discomfort is possible, which is easily relieved with prescribed painkillers.
❯ Are there any contraindications? Absolute contraindications (severe diseases of the heart, blood, central nervous system) are rare. Relative (diabetes, osteoporosis, smoking) require preparation and control. This is clarified during diagnostics.
❯ How long do implants last? With proper installation and hygiene, implants last for decades, often for life. The crown may require replacement after 15-20 years.
❯ What to do if there is not enough bone tissue? We are proficient in all methods of bone grafting (sinus lifting, autotransplantation, use of artificial bone) to create the required volume.
