As a refractive technology clinic, we solve the problems of ametropia correction at any age: in young people this help is provided by laser surgery, in patients with lens opacification - by refractive replacement.

The technical performance of cataract surgery using the latest equipment, the capabilities of modern diagnostics, advanced calculation systems, and the capabilities of various AcrySof models make it possible today to implant modern intraocular lenses (IOLs) according to medical indications: not only replacing the lens that has lost its transparency, but also simultaneously correcting large and small errors in the optical system of the eye. Implantation of the “correct” IOL allows today to solve many related issues - correcting anomalies in the optics of the eye - myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, presbyopia (age-related farsightedness). This means that the results of cataract surgery can be the same as, for example, laser correction. And cataract surgery is refractive surgery - an operation to reconstruct the optical system of the eye.

The goal of refractive cataract surgery is to achieve emmetropia, the absence of errors in the optical system of the eye. This means that the choice of IOL is made according to medical indications.

The goal of cataract surgery at our clinic is not simply to give patients vision, but to provide the highest possible quality of vision in each case. This can only be ensured by scrupulously maintaining quality at every stage of the work. The clinic has an optimized examination sequence to ensure that various diagnostic methods do not distort each other's results. Only disposable instruments are used. A precise computer calculation is performed for each patient to recommend an IOL model based on the indications. The success of cataract surgery in terms of refractive outcome depends on you—the best results can be achieved by performing cataract surgery without delaying it until the late stages. As soon as clouding begins to bother you and your vision quality is no longer satisfactory, consult an ophthalmic surgeon.

We care about results and are responsible, so we don't compromise on cheap IOLs (even if they are made in Europe). We use only AcrySof IOLs from Alcon (USA). Alcon's AcrySof IOLs have proven themselves to be predictable in terms of achieving the target refraction, maintaining this refraction over time, and have a clinically proven low incidence of secondary cataracts. The low risk of developing this complication is an important factor in our clinic's choice of the AcrySof IOL. The result achieved after surgery may be lost due to opacification of the posterior lens capsule, which reacts to the material.

Lens replacement surgery, like any intervention, depends on many factors. There are two main types of effects in artificial lens implantation: those that depend on the surgeon, and those that do not depend on the surgeon but depend on the manufacturer. Success requires not only the surgeon's diligence during the surgery, but also the manufacturer's diligence in creating a product that helps and protects the patient.

No matter how carefully the surgeon protects the eye with viscoelastics, no matter what solutions he uses, no matter how carefully he washes the capsular bag of any remaining crushed lens, if the artificial lens (IOL) itself carries the risk of degrading over time, it is impossible to talk about maximum patient protection. We don't trust advertising promises, and we don't rely on unfounded advertising ourselves. Remember that part of our mission is to provide objective information to you, our valued patients. You can always ask any medical question that concerns you, and our doctors will help you. Come see us for a consultation, and we will explain our choice to you so that you are as convinced of its correctness as we are.

Therefore, at our clinic, we carefully select every product we offer our patients. We base our selection solely on publicly available clinical trial data, primarily independent and objective. The greater the evidence base, the more trustworthy the product is.

As ophthalmic surgery professionals, we also have our own principles. One of them is to never compromise the health and quality of life of our patients. If, after consulting with your doctor, you still feel you want something different or cannot afford to take care of your health financially, we regret to accept your choice. We will provide you with all the information we can, because each of our patients is important to us as an individual. However, we will not be able to offer you an intraocular lens or related medical device that has not passed our quality and trust standards.

Remember, we are responsible for everything we do.
