If you are tired of glasses and contact lenses, at our Center in Grodno we can offer laser vision correction - this is a change in the shape of the surface of the cornea, and, as a result, a change in its refractive properties. After laser correction, the cornea begins to refract light rays in such a way that they are focused precisely on the retina, and not in front of it. The role of the laser in this procedure is to photochemically evaporate the inner layer of the cornea to a given thickness and configuration.

In the case of contraindications to keratorefractive surgery (laser correction) identified during the examination, the possibilities of refractive cataract surgery are discussed with the patient - performing either a lensectomy (removal of the lens without artificial implantation for very high degrees of myopia) or refractive lens replacement. Implantation of the “correct” intraocular lens (artificial lens, IOL) allows you to correct abnormalities in the optics of the eye, and the results of surgery can be the same as, for example, with laser correction.

Each method of correcting myopia has its own indications and contraindications, which can only be identified by an experienced ophthalmologist; otherwise, serious problems or complications in treatment cannot be avoided. We urge you to trust vision restoration for myopia only to experienced specialists, so that your eyes can enjoy the beauty of our world.
