Vacuum drainage of the paranasal sinuses according to Zonderman and Proetz:

Indications:

• - sinusitis
• - prolonged or allergic rhinitis

The procedure is carried out using a special device. A medicinal solution is poured into one nostril, and removed from the other along with the contents (mucus, pus) using vacuum suction. During the procedure, the patient is asked to say the sound "ku". Hence there is another name “cuckoo”.

The number of procedures is determined by the doctor.

Contraindications:

• - frequent nosebleeds
• - features of the anatomy of the nose (neoplasms, deviated nasal septum, blocking the nasal passages)
• - nervous and mental diseases with increased excitability
